Your Adventure” Activity

Managers in these retail outlets were looking for ideas and best practices
to improve hiring skills, including how to read resumes and conduct interviews.


In this 90-minute facilitated classroom activity, learners choose their
candidates from a set of mock resumes and develop an interview guide
by selecting questions from a pool. Once they choose a candidate, they
interview them using a “Choose your Adventure” workbook. The book is
filled with mock answers for each question, and the learner can use the
information to determine whom to hire.

In this activity, every learner has a slightly different experience, depending
on the questions they chose and their evaluation of the candidates’ answers.
